Position Overview: As an Operations - Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of aerospace components. This full-time, 6-month contract-to-hire position involves shipping, receiving, and inspecting aircraft parts while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. With a Competitive Pay of: $24.50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute daily shipping and receiving activities to meet department goals.
Perform visual inspections of aircraft parts to ensure compliance with ATA 300 specifications.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to shipments and repairs.
Track inventory using cycle count reports and maintain audit readiness.
Coordinate timely delivery of goods and materials.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including the use of PPE.
Support repair operations by pulling, staging, packaging, and shipping parts to repair shops.
Identify and address non-conformance issues.
Conduct regular inspections of warehouse grounds to uphold operational standards.
Collaborate with team members and report progress to the Shipping Leader.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
5 years of relevant experience in shipping, receiving, or quality control.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one).
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred:
FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with lean management principles.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and best practices.
