Job Summary
The Ship Systems Integration & Sustainment (SSIS) & Naval Systems & Sustainment (NSS) Supply Chain Excellence Lead is a dual role position responsible for the P&L support of the SSIS portfolio as well as supply chain excellence lead across NSS SSBU. The SSIS lead is the primary interface between the Program Office Integrated Program Leadership Team and the Functional Supply Chain Leadership Team, responsible for communicating all Program requirements, strategy, and AOP commitments to the Program Director and program managers within the portfolio.
This Individual will collaborate with Program Management and be the liaison to the Supply Chain function ensuring that all program needs are integrated and supported to meet program commitments. Results will be accomplished through leading, influencing and briefing across all levels of the organization, including internal and external customers.
This position involves direct support of Supply Chain activities for a diverse set of programs, products, and customers domestically and international. The preferred candidate must be willing to travel domestically and potentially internationally and move between buildings and local facilities. This is a working lead position, with program and supervisory responsibilities.
Finally, this position is responsible for consolidation of Supply Chain metrics, implementation of best practices, coordination of supply chain performance measures on a monthly basis.
This position is an onsite role.
What You Will Do:
Manages the overall supply chain responsibilities; sales forecasting and execution, sourcing and win strategy development, proposal development, negotiations, Estimates at Completion (EAC), Earned Value Management (EVM), Risk and Opportunity Management.
Identify and secure core supply chain resources to support capture and execution plans.
Resolution of supply issues to ensure business needs are met.
Material Program Planning (MRP).
Understanding and navigating regulatory compliance (i.e. FAR/DFARS, ITAR, OPSEC, security classification guides, public law, quality, warranty, etc.).
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
Proposals/Estimating and/or Basis of Estimates (BOEs) experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in areas of material management, program management, sourcing, supplier management, subcontract management, procurement and / or engineering
Leadership and management experience such as leading and mentoring teams and influencing and presenting to all levels of management
Demonstrated strong negotiation skills
Experience with and knowledge of defense acquisition process
Experience leading strategic change initiatives to improve cross functional processes to achieve business goals
Experience managing a portfolio with $100M+ in annual material sales
Experience in recruiting, training, mentoring, and coaching a diverse teams
Knowledgeable and competent in supply chain and program tools and technology
Experience with schedule creation, maintenance, forecasting, and analysis experience
Demonstrated strategic leadership and capabilities in implementing innovative system level solutions

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
