STS Technical Services is hiring an In-Flight Services Buyer in Atlanta. This role supports Delta’s Onboard Services Logistics team, overseeing the planning, purchasing, and distribution of products used in the passenger cabin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform supply chain process engineering to streamline operations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve supply processes and lead cross-organizational projects.
- Manage supply planning, assess supplier reliability, and adjust inventory levels based on operational changes.
- Lead product launch plans and final inventory setup.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement process improvements for reduced lead times and waste.
- Train suppliers on Delta’s replenishment methods and tools.
- Ensure all actions align with safety-conscious behaviors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- 18-24 months of experience in materials, inventory, or demand planning is required.
- 12+ months of purchasing or buying experience.
- Strong analytical skills with 18-24 months of data analysis experience.
- High proficiency in Excel and database reporting tools.
- Project management or organizational improvement experience.
- Knowledge of SAP and Lean methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5-15).
