Job Description:

Job Summary:
To assemble, bond, and rework a variety of graphite parts and assemblies. May be required to assist
lower grade Assemblers.
Job Responsibilities:
• Performs a number of duties to assemble, bond, and rework a variety of graphite assemblies in
accordance with shop routers, oral and written instructions, and simple drawings.
o Bonds and assembles graphite and sheet metal details using assembly jigs with the use
of rivets, fasteners, screws, and liquid adhesive.
o Uses standard methods to lay up graphite parts.
o Prepares graphite parts for painting by sanding and finishing parts to an even and
smooth surface.
o Loads and unloads graphite assemblies in oven and cures to bonding specifications.
• Uses small hand tools, sanders, rivet guns, drills, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
• Responsible only for own work.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Education:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of one year graphite assembly, related composites, sheet metal assembly or directly
related experience Must successfully complete and pass the Textron Aviation blueprint course.
Working Conditions:
Generally good working conditions with exposure to heat.
