Purpose  

Citadel Completions Buyer will have an active role in both supporting and reporting to the Procurement Manager. The Buyer role encompasses the procurement of VIP Aircraft materials, goods, services and equipment required for various types of wide body Aircraft, such as Boeing and Airbus. The buyer will also be required to support and fulfill the procurement for all other departments within the company. The Buyer shall always keep the best interest of the company and the customer in mind while executing business goals and must do so with integrity. Buyers are always to represent Citadel Completions in a professional manner.   

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Procure and document aircraft and non-aircraft related goods/materials in accordance with all laws, governmental regulations using Company methods and processes and following Company approval and authorization policy guidelines.
  • Negotiate with vendors to ensure best value is being offered. 
  • Execute, monitor, and expedite Purchase Orders. 
  • Assist in the development and execution of WSA’s, NDA’s and MSA’s.
  • Participate in the development of Company and customer needs, specifications, proposals and selection of vendors. 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Purchasing Department and the Company. 
  • Coordinate with requestors any specifications for requirements.
  • Report issues regarding vendor performance, cost, quality and delivery to Purchasing Manager.
  • Work with other departments to assist with managing inventory requirements, level of stock, one-time purchases.

DESIRED

  • 3+ years VIP/VVIP Aircraft Completions Purchasing experience required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration. 
  • Strong organization, communication, presentation, and leadership skills. 
  • Experience with integrated or purchasing system such as Corridor.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) programs. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. 

 

Reporting Relationship

  • Reports to the Director of Supply Chain & Logistics.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Attention to detail when reviewing data and performing electronic transactions.
  • Effective decision-making skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff from different departments effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to prioritize workload according to business demands and works well under pressure.

 

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows. 

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
  • The Work surface is stable (flat).
