Pricing Specialist
Your role
Applications are currently being invited for the role of Pricing Specialist in the Revenue Management & Pricing Department. Reporting to the Pricing Manager, the successful candidate responsible for day-to-day pricing decisions that will contribute to passenger revenue targets and minimise distribution costs across the Aer Lingus network. Our Revenue Management & Pricing Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus’ ambition by negotiating pricing interests and managing relationships with pricing counterparts at franchise, codeshare and AJB partner airlines.
Your responsibilities as a Pricing Specialist will include:
- Devise, implement and analyse pricing tactics aimed at achieving scheduled passenger revenue targets and distribution objectives.
- Ensuring that the tactics outlined above are distributed and displayed accurately to customers.
- Manage franchise and other airline pricing/inventory counterpart relationships in order to advance Aer Lingus’s revenue generation strategy.
- Evaluate and present results of initiatives to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor competitor pricing activity and decide appropriate responses to it.
- Represent the pricing team’s interest in project work. This includes workshops, evaluation and testing of solutions.
- Manage Aer Lingus relationships with third party service providers and technical forums.
- Adhere to robust security and audit controls in line with IAG and Aer Lingus policy.
- Represent the Pricing Manager when called upon.
Your qualifications and key criteria
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
- A degree in Business, Economics or another related field is preferable; otherwise commensurate industry experience.
- A working knowledge of travel and hospitality industry pricing, demand elasticity or regulatory environments.
- Good computer skills including experience with spreadsheets, word processing and presentation packages, and a working knowledge of Revenue Management systems.
- Ability to cope well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Solid numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, a team player with the ability to liaise with internal departments.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of Aer Lingus’s fare products, network and point of sale dynamics.
- Confidence, assertiveness, flexibility and commitment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Provide three verifiable references.
- Able to pass a five year security background check as this role is based in Dublin.
