Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualification Support: Assess the impact of product changes and deviations to define, encourage and drive required qualification activities.
  • Project Delivery: Responsible to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Planning & Estimation: Provide valuable inputs to project planning, estimation, and management activities.
  • Technical Presentations: Offer technical support for internal/external customer presentations, teleconferences, and meetings.
  • Testing & Validation: Carry out qualification testing, both internal and external, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Customer Support: May include travel to customer sites in the UK and internationally to support technical meetings and qualification trials.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree: Minimum 2.1 degree in Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in sensor-related product design and development within the aerospace, military, or commercial sectors.
  • Communication & Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively.

Desirable Skills:

  • Project management: Experience in supporting / managing projects in a similar technical environment.
  • International Collaboration: Experience working in multi-cultural teams and international settings.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of inertial measurement units (IMU) and experience with the product introduction lifecycle (from concept to product launch).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills.
  • Mathematical Modelling: Familiarity with tools like Matlab or Minitab for data analysis and modeling.
