Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Group Information Technology Operations Command Center (ITOCC) Monitoring Team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT systems and infrastructure. You will be responsible for proactively identifying and resolving incidents, conducting routine system checks, and collaborating with other IT teams to maintain the reliability of our technological environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Real-time Monitoring: Monitor the performance and health of IT systems, servers, networks, and applications using monitoring tools and dashboards.

Incident Management: Detect, log, and respond to incidents and anomalies in a timely manner, following established incident management procedures.

Troubleshooting: Investigate and diagnose technical issues, coordinating with relevant teams for incident resolution.

Reporting: Generate and maintain reports on system performance, incidents, and trends, and communicate findings to management.

Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of monitoring processes, incident response procedures, and system configurations.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, including Network Operations, Server Administration, Database Administration and IT Security, to address and resolve technical issues.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance monitoring efficiency and effectiveness.

Compliance: Ensure that monitoring practices adhere to relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.

Shift Work: Work in rotating shifts to provide 24/7 monitoring coverage, including weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience) with minimum 2 years of job related experience.

  • Previous experience in IT operations, system administration, or a similar role is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of IT monitoring tools and platforms.

  • Familiarity with incident management processes and tools.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, RHEL & ITIL V3 Certification (Foundation course) will be an added advantage.

  • Usage knowledge of Microfocus Service Manager & Microfocus Monitoring Suite is an added value.

  • To be successful in this role you must have customer facing experience with good English written and verbal skills. You must handle multiple tasks at one time and work successfully as part of a team, while being under pressure. You must work varied hours / days based on business needs with process-oriented approach to address issues in hand.

  • We are looking for someone with good communication skills who can be flexible enough to work 24x7 rotating shifts. Having an IT industry certification such as
