The Airborne Sensors & Avionics Integration department within the Systems Sensors, Space and Air Systems Engineering discipline is currently seeking a Systems Engineering Leader for the Infrastructure & Advanced Interoperability section.  You will lead 10-12 Systems Engineers working in development and sustainment engineering, and lab infrastructure and innovation engineering, reporting to the Airborne Sensors & Avionics Integration Department Leader.

What You Will Do

• The Airborne Sensors & Avionics Integration Systems Engineering Leader will have a technical role on at least one program in addition to performing the day-to-day leadership of systems engineers, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement.

• Performance development and appraisal, salary planning, manpower planning, career planning, and ensuring adherence to company policies.

• Contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities.

• Conduct monthly team meetings and approve section members’ timecards.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience with System design, development, and software integration lab environment.

• Experience providing full lifecycle support including requirements gathering, systems design input, and/or end-to-end system integration and deployment.

• Experience in leading customer program reviews to include cost, schedule, and/or technical performance.

• Hardware or software experience (preferably both) used on airborne avionics systems.

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Knowledge and experience with Command Media systems standards access, application, and adherence to ensure compliance with company policies.

• Ability to communicate ideas and technical project plans to enable an effective interface with various departments, levels of management, support staff, and customers.

• Knowledge and experience with lab management and calibration utilities and applications.

• Experience with Quality Management System audits and knowledge of the Raytheon Corrective Action System process.

• Manage all phases of the program(s) from conceptualization through completion, including planning, and managing technical performance to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained.

• Develop solutions to problems that require coordination of technologies across program requirements.

• Work with diverse teams and tackle complex challenges.

• Ability to implement strategic goals established by functional leadership across the organization.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
