THE WORK
We are seeking an experienced **Systems Diagnostics Engineer** to develop, optimize, and maintain diagnostics software for the MH‑60R/S platform avionics. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the team through diagnostics SW updates and releases across multiple aircraft configurations and part numbers.
- Coordinating autoloader software development, documentation, testing, and procedures for various avionics boxes and subsystems.
- Designing diagnostics software and maintenance procedures for new or updated subsystems.
- Supporting regression, release, and PTR testing of diagnostics SW.
- Generating and maintaining requirements, design, process, and drawing documentation.
- Managing the diagnostics team’s SW repository, development updates, and formal builds/releases.
- Allocating and documenting diagnostics requirements using AWS, SRS, testability analysis, DAR, IDD, SDD, and IBA/FMET.
- Planning and executing development and release testing (simulation, lab, regression, aircraft).
- Conducting design analysis, system modeling, and troubleshooting with a focus on reliability & maintainability (R&M) and systems diagnostics.

- An experienced Systems Diagnostics Engineer with a strong background in avionics diagnostics software.
- Proven track record leading SW development and release activities for complex aircraft systems.
- Skilled in autoloader software, documentation, testing, and procedure development.
- Familiar with AWS, SRS, DAR, IDD, SDD, IBA/FMET, and other aerospace engineering standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities, system‑modeling expertise, and a focus on R&M and troubleshooting.
- Strong communicator who can coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and manage software repositories.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience developing and sustaining SRS,SDD, IDD, and Software Drawing Trees
• Experience with Software Repository Configuration Management
• Experience with developing and maintaining SW using various languages and SW repository management tools
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong leadership, administrative, and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to obtain & maintain a Secret
security clearance
• Experience with Model Based System Engineering
Desired Skills:
9 or more years of software/systems engineering or related experience
• Experience developing, implementing, and troubleshooting LabVIEW software
• Proficient in SW configuration management using SVN
• Experience in SW development using Java, C, and XML
• System Integration and Test Experience
• String understanding of avionics aircraft electronics systems, functions, and wiring diagrams
• Experience with large scale system development, integration, and test
• Experience with manufacturing of electronic equipment
• Experience with integrated logistics support activities
• Possess excellent communication skills for customer presentations and can work in a team environment as part of a multi-disciplined team effort involving many companies and customers

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $125,600 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
