JOB SUMMARY:
This is a summer internship in our Engineering department. The intern will assist one or more E3D wire routing engineers with various assignments, gaining hands-on experience while shadowing real-world operations. They will contribute to unique tasks supporting larger projects and engage in the daily responsibilities of an E3D wire routing engineer. Additionally, the intern may participate in activities and events designed to foster networking within the Dassault Falcon Jet community and among fellow interns, enhancing both professional connections and team collaboration.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Designing and updating 3D wire harnesses in CATIA V5
- Contributing to Falcon 6X and Falcon 8X design and development
- Conducting research and continuous improvement studies
- Collaborating with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to resolve wire routing issues
- Analyzing Falcon 6X security review data and updating subsequent Falcon 6X aircraft designs.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with VPM and basic design in CATIA V5 (or equivalent)
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering with basic knowledge of electrical/electronic design
- Strong communication skills, be open to feedback, possess good English proficiency, and demonstrate motivation to learn and grow professionally
- Must reside in the United States
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical Engineering major preferred
