Northrop Grumman Space Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

This position is located at our Rolling Meadows, IL location.

Responsibilities for an Integration & Test Engineer may include generation of test plans, test procedures, test automation, test reports, and execution of integration test activities in System Integration Labs (SILs) or offsite locations. As a part of the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) team, an Integration & Test engineer gains an understanding of the Systems Engineering process across a products lifecycle and gains a full appreciation for how the systems operate.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related technical degree with 8+ years (or MS and 6+ years, or PhD and 3+ years) related experience
• The ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
• Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving skills and Systems Thinking mindset
• Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of one of more of the following specialty areas related to EOIR/RF systems: sensors/antennas, transmitters/receivers, optics, and associated lab equipment
• Experience in development and earned value management of cost accounts and schedules as related to Systems Engineering tasks
• Experience with real-time signal processing
• Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, or other scripting languages
• Working knowledge of DOORS and ClearCase/ClearQuest
• Experience creating integration & test and design verification test plans and procedures
• Experience performing system verification and validation
• Agile development experience a plus
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI & polygraph is preferred

Primary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
