Fire Control Test and Hardware Technician

Manassas, VA

Contract Position

$36.75-$41.75/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans to prepare training systems for delivery, including system verification tests at customer sites.
• Provide technical expertise by instructing users in system operation and maintenance.
• Support system tactical planning and design by attending demos at partner locations.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and test hardware during research and product development.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot development hardware.
• Support hardware infrastructure design and implementation, including power/cooling analysis for server room sustainment.
• Maintain hardware inventory and document configuration changes.
• Collaborate effectively within an engineering team on design, materials, and equipment setup.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related specialized field (or equivalent 4 years of job-related experience).
  • An additional 2+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree.

• Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance is required.

• Experience and Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System.
  • Familiarity with the SWFTS community.
  • Significant experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and computer hardware.
  • Basic Linux command-line navigation skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

• Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Navy Submarine Design.
  • Familiarity with systems including MPA, NECDIS, Strike, ISAT, AN/BVY-1, AN/BQQ-10, and AN/BLQ-10.
