We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project & Structure Engineer to take charge of controlling, updating, and publishing the Damage Report Manual (DRM) for the Icelandair fleet. This pivotal role is part of our Airline Services department within the Technical Operations division. In addition to DRM responsibilities, this role actively supports aircraft transitions, ensuring a seamless handover and compliance with all technical and structural requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage, update, and distribute the Damage Report Manual (DRM) for Icelandair aircraft
- Collaborate with specialists in the Structures Engineering department to ensure accuracy and consistency of the DRM
- Work closely with internal departments to maintain up-to-date damage mapping of the Icelandair fleet following heavy maintenance visits
- Support aircraft transitions, including damage inspections, documentation updates, and ensuring compliance with technical requirements during fleet changes
- Actively participate in the planned transition to a dedicated electronic system, contributing to process development and implementation
- Provide support to maintenance organizations with DRM-related inquiries and issues
Skills and Qualifications
- Engineering degree or maintenance technician license is preferred
- Relevant experience in aviation, with at least three years within the industry
- Basic knowledge and skills in using computers and software
- Strong English skills (verbal and written)
- Exceptional precision, organization, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Basic familiarity with AutoCAD (preferred but not required)
