The Integrated Air and Missile Defense Systems (IAMDS) Department is looking for a Systems Engineering Lead for the NASAMS Product-Line with the technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to drive the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense Systems. The IAMDS Department supports Raytheon by providing world class Weapon Systems Engineering. Domain Expertise includes Radar Systems, Effector Systems, Battle Management, Command and Control, Network Design, Battlespace Integration and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers. In our experience, diversity of talent and thought is what drives innovation, and we are looking for motivated engineers who will be responsible for performing Systems Engineering studies and trades, supporting System Requirements definition and analysis, algorithm development, integration, test and evaluation.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Engage with a variety of Customers (USG, Foreign Defense Ministries (DCS), and international Industry Partners)
Provide technical and managerial oversight for the execution of program and product-line efforts (development and production)
Collaborate with other IPT leads from the various functions and products
Support Internal Research and Development for future capability upgrades
Support Internal and External Program and Design Reviews
System integration and test support, including live fire test events
Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded system
Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System
Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter
Qualifications You Must Have:
5+ years of experience in Air Defense System, Systems Engineering production or development
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field. In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience interfacing with external customers and industry partners
Ability to travel domestically and Internationally
Qualifications We Value:
Existing DoD Security Clearance
Knowledge of Air Defense systems (for example - NASAMS System)
Experience with Air Defense Systems, and PM SHIELD customer base
Experience managing competing programmatic priorities
Experience making challenging technical decisions
Familiarity with the Raytheon Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) (plus, experience with Raytheon execution of EVM)
Advanced degree in EE, CE, Physics, Math, ME, Aerospace

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
