This position requires the performance of preventative maintenance (PM) and proof load activities on a variety of Special Tooling and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which would include visual inspection and documentation of the items’ condition. Utilize applicable computer system(s) to confirm operations performed for each item and gain access to engineering documents as necessary. Additionally, the candidate will provide calibration support as well as troubleshoot/repair test equipment and test systems.
What You Will Do
Locate equipment scheduled for PM
Manage time to ensure scheduled PM is completed within time allotted
Coordinate repair as needed for Critical and Government Furnished Property (GFP)
Remove equipment due calibration from the factory floor
Calibrate and maintain measuring and test equipment and test systems
Maintain equipment status in IndySoft
Processes sanitization of classified equipment and completes paperwork through security to get equipment sent out for calibration and/or repair.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Experience reading and working from blueprints, tooling prints, manufacturer’s manuals, engineering specifications, schematics, work orders, military specifications, federal and engineering specifications, verbal and/or written instructions and sketches.
Experience in calibration and maintenance of test equipment/test systems with emphasis on compliance with quality requirements.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Experience utilizing applicable computer system(s) to complete work orders.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Project) applications.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Capability to work out of scope tasks and shuffle resources as required.
Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision
Knowledge of electrical systems, tools, equipment and safety procedures/practices.
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and tooling prints
Knowledge of calibration quality standards (ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL 7540)
Dynamic, forward thinking and results driven
Experience utilizing maintenance scheduling software
Hands on electrical and mechanical aptitude
Experience with Analog/Digital and RF/Microwave
Experience with Physical/Dimensional
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
