This internship will be onsite in Duluth, MN from May 2025 through August 2025.
Throughout the program, interns will gain hands on project experience, valuable networking and presentation skills, interaction with leadership, and exposure to a world-class, innovative culture.
Job Duties:
- This Manufacturing/Process Engineering Intern is responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes and tooling designs. In this role, you will be involved in any or all of the following assignments: process development, documentation and implementation; production time studies and continuous improvement; production flow and shop floor layout; and, tooling design using CAD (Creo).
- Work directly with Manufacturing Engineering, Production Personnel, Purchasing, Experimental, and more to complete new tool designs, continuous improvement tooling modifications, and detail manufacturing processes.
- Create and revise solid models and detailed drawings of complex components and assemblies using Creo Parametric.
- Manage, promote and release manufacturing data using Windchill PDMLink.
- Follow all safety standards and policies and ensure a safe operating environment, including use of appropriate protective equipment and identification of potential safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- Current student pursuing a relevant degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
- Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Production and Processing: Ability to accurately follow and document a sequence of manufacturing steps.
- Mechanical: General knowledge of common tools and their purpose.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
- Must be able to complete entire duration of internship.
- Must be able to secure local housing for duration of internship.
