About Our Group
The Maintainability Engineer is part of our customer support team that manages the maintenance program for our aircraft.
About the Role
The Maintainability Engineer I will support the daily tasks. Previous Gulfstream Customer Support experience is preferred. A&P License Preferred. Engineer will be working very close with our customers. Strong communication and customer service mindset is preferred. Great opportunity to possible future roles within the Maintainability organization.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in aviation maintenance, engineering technology, or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 3 years of Maintenance Programs/Maintainability experience or aircraft maintenance and operational experience. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
Position Purpose:
Under minimal supervision, directly contributes to the planning, coordination, performance of design, analysis and engineering data supporting the development and evolution of Gulfstream Aircraft Maintenance Program products and services.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Under minimal supervision, contributes to planning, developing and coordinating changes to new and existing complex Aircraft Maintenance Programs to meet requirements per FAR 25.1529 or other applicable regulatory directives.
- Provide specialized technical assistance to team members in support of maintenance program activities.
- Utilizes basic knowledge of MSG-3 methodology and other advanced techniques along with other industry guidance material to provide technical solutions for a wide range of complex issues.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations in support of various engineering activities.
- Determine and develop approaches to solutions that ensure adherence to schedule and cost objectives.
- Monitor design changes and identifies requirements to perform and/or update maintenance program analyses.
- Act as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area to support internal and external customer requests.
- Actively work to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product.
