The Position: MTS III , Software Traffic Shaping
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Network Engineer with strong expertise in Network Operations, Traffic Engineering, and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching to join our next-generation Traffic Management Platform team. This role will focus on designing, building, and optimizing high-performance network services within SD-WAN and cloud-native environments.
You will work closely with Software and DevOps teams to integrate REST APIs, automate configurations, orchestrate virtual appliances, and ensure production-grade reliability.
Responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Network Engineer who is:
Strong in Network Operations with hands-on experience in production environments
Highly proficient in Layer 2 & Layer 3 switching, routing protocols, VLANs, TCP/IP, and network segmentation
Experienced in Linux/Unix system administration (mandatory)
Skilled in REST API integration and service automation
Familiar with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and NFV concepts
Experienced with Bash, Python, AWK, or Ansible for automation
Knowledgeable in PostgreSQL/SQL query optimization
Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and Agile environments
Capable of troubleshooting complex network and infrastructure issues
Willing to support on-call rotations and flexible work hours overlapping with US teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/software engineering/ Information Technology with 6-8 years of proven experience, master’s degree is preferred.
Agile / Scrum certification or proven experience practicing Agile software development principles.
Network Operations Development experience with solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle.
