Required Skills

  • Strong academic background in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 4-7 Yrs of experience of solid understanding of Strength of Materials, Machine Design, Engineering Materials, Engineering Drawing, and Manufacturing Processes
  • Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to perform and validate hand calculations for stress analysis of metallic and composite structures, including failure modes and load path/free body analysis
  • Strong understanding of FEM connections at the assembly level using normal mode analysis
  • Ability to extract loads from finite element models and determine critical failure modes
  • Understanding of analysis types (static) and non-linearities (geometric, material, contact), with the ability to select appropriate methods and perform medium- to complex-level analyses
  • Expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), including meshing techniques (2D, 3D Hex, Tet), application of boundary conditions and loads, and post-processing with result interpretation at both component and assembly levels
  • Ability to perform force and moment balance calculations and correlate test results with FE analysis for validation and accuracy
  • Strong capability to interpret analysis results and provide engineering insights to support design decisions and optimization
  • Experience in performing structural (static) analysis for aircraft seats, cabin, or interior components at both component and assembly levels, including metallic components, composites, and fasteners
  • Ability to review and approve design changes from a structural analysis perspective, ensuring compliance with strength and deflection requirements while delivering optimized solutions
  • Ability to select appropriate engineering techniques, solve problems, and make data-driven design recommendations
  • Good understanding of test correlation, validation, and support for certification activities; awareness of regulatory standards (FAA/EASA) is an added advantage
  • Ability to create and compile interface load documentation and technical reports for submission to OEMs and customers
  • Working knowledge and good expertise in tools such as HyperMesh, HyperView, NX Nastran, and OptiStruct
  • Knowledge of FEMAP, NX CAD (Unigraphics), and Teamcenter (PLM) is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience in authoring technical documentation for assigned projects
  • Ability to ensure execution and delivery of assigned project phases within the defined schedule and quality expectations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including solver error debugging, with a good understanding of tool capabilities and limitations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team player with adaptability and flexibility
  • Ability to collaborate with customers and onsite coordinators to meet expectations
