What we do:
The Flight Controls team is responsible for the design, development, integration, and certification of the Gulfstream Flight Control Systems across all large cabin programs. These systems are complex in nature and are designed by a highly cross-functional team of exceptional engineers in the areas of complex electronics, software, electrical and hydraulic actuation. We are seeking candidates with broad skillsets and various levels of experience to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals&8239;to&8239;work right here&8239;at our Savannah facility.
What you will do:
- Support troubleshooting of in-service issue impacting component reliability
- Interact with suppliers during development, certification, and root cause corrective action
Preferred experience:
- Experience with Fly-By-Wire Flight Controls Systems
- Experience troubleshooting aircraft system issues in-service or in a production environment
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Entry level. 0-18 months experience.
Position Purpose:
Performs engineering work related to the investigation and solution of basic problems associated with research, design, development, service and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Provides technical assistance to engineering staff and contributes by completing discrete engineering tasks on schedule .
- Using company procedures, applies engineering knowledge to resolve routine issues .
- Analyzes and evaluates results of project activities .
- Prepares recommendations for changes and compiles necessary reports for various department supervision .
- Recognizes discrepancies and/or problems with analysis/test results and works toward corrective action .
Additional Functions:
- Actively works to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets customer requirements .
- Continues learning and developing knowledge of application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise .
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
- The level of technical skills and abilities appropriate for this grade level will be established by each discipline.
- Work is closely supervised/monitored, follows established procedures and methods.
- Failure to achieve results may cause delays in program schedules.
- Ability to convey technical concepts in both written and verbal formats.
- Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor, mentor, and other exempt professionals in the group or department.
