Job Description:

Due to an internal promotion, Air New Zealands Airline Forward Planning team is excited to offer an opportunity for an Engineering Planning Analyst to join our team. This pivotal role is essential in ensuring that our long-term fleet maintenance demand is integrated with the Airline and our Maintenance Organisations, allowing us to understand and capitalize on the impacts and opportunities brought about by changes in maintenance demand.

About the Role:
As part of the Airline Forward Planning team, you will lead the medium to long-term maintenance demand, ensuring compliance and optimal aircraft availability. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and maintaining optimized long-term fleet plans, considering all regulatory, technical, financial, and commercial constraints to achieve Air New Zealands aircraft availability objectives
  • Conducting analysis to ensure future plans are operable by developing what if scenarios to understand the consequences and opportunities due to changes in fleet constraints, such as increased aircraft fleet and utilization, changes in airworthiness requirements, or maintenance slot changes
  • Collaborating with our Aircraft Availability, Integrated Planning, and Integrated Delivery Tribe stakeholders to carry out maintenance footprint analysis and support the development of maintenance standards and distribution profiles to ensure our plans are operable
  • Proactively identifying, recommending, and implementing initiatives within our Engineering Planning group to maximize aircraft availability and enhance the compliant, efficient, and cost-effective functioning of the team
  • Managing and delivering Engineering Planning projects and risk assessments as needed.

About You:
We are looking for proactive, self-starter candidates with proven technical and analytical experience in the aviation/planning industry. Ideally, you will have an Engineering Degree and be proficient in optimization using various software platforms such as Aerogility, MS Excel, Power BI, and SAP. To succeed in this role, you will need strong time management and organizational skills, flexibility to manage changing priorities, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
