Pay Rate: $35.00/hr
Summary:
Are you passionate about aerospace and looking to make a significant impact? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Drafting & Design Services professional to support cutting-edge projects in the aerospace industry. In this role, you will contribute to the creation and modification of detailed assembly drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Your work will directly impact product development, enabling the creation of innovative aerospace solutions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Perform drafting and design of assembly drawings based on layouts, sketches, and blueprints.
Utilize computer-aided design applications to convert models and drawings, ensuring they meet standards.
Receive and process supplier drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ProE), and convert them into an acceptable format.
Obtain and apply EP numbers to drawings, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
Manage supplier equipment drawing repositories and ensure updates for up to 12 months after production.
Upload CAD files and models into Teamcenter and manage changes to equipment drawings.
Work closely with engineers to modify or update mechanical and electrical CAD models and drawings.
Handle the conversion of hand-drawn sketches to electronic formats.
Ensure all drawings comply with classification requirements (xClass) and jurisdictional documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of drafting and design experience in aerospace or related industries.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ProE).
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and documentation standards.
Experience working with Teamcenter or similar CAD management tools.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication skills to work with engineers and suppliers.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the aerospace industry
Knowledge of EP number assignment and drawing management processes.
Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems in aerospace applications.

Pay Details: $35.00 per hour
