Plan and conduct engine hot fire tests and analyze data.
Support component development and qualification, including supplier oversight and management.
Provide hardware fabrication support, including nonconformance resolution.
Present results at internal and external meetings.
Conduct performance, fluid dynamics and other engineering analysis as required in support of trade studies and programs.
Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent writing skills, verbal communication skills, and experience working in a team environment are required.
- Some travel may be required within the United States to Aerojet Rocketdynes customers and suppliers.
- Experience leading technical teams is preferred.
- Experience with rocket engine or cubesat technology development is preferred.
- A solid understanding of applicable engineering principles, business practices, and experience working directly with hardware in the aerospace industry is highly desirable.
- Experience with monopropellant, bipropellant, and rocket propulsion systems desired.
- Experience working an equivalent engineering environment is desired.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $69,000 - $128,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
