Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern to provide factory support at the Raytheon Diné Facility on the Navajo Nation in Farmington, NM.  Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layouts, Factory Simulations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and more.  Every day presents new and exciting challenges and reminds us of our mission to deliver to those who defend us.  We hope you are as excited about this opportunity as we are.

**Please Note: This position is located at the Raytheon Diné Facility in Farmington, NM.  RTX- Diné Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Identify throughput constraints by performing capacity, simulation, what-if scenario analysis
  • Drive factory improvement project priorities through the use of analytical tools
  • Coordinate factory capability needs for yield improvements and new technology
  • Identify and participate in improvement projects to support constraint elimination
  • Apply Six Sigma and Lean Principles to include the use of value stream maps, line balancing, and error proofing
  • Support manufacturing objectives for cost, quality, on time delivery and safety

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Candidate must be enrolled and pursuing a bachelor or masters degree in the area of Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related Engineering field by Summer 2025
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
