Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Director of Trip Support to assist their trip support team with all day-to-day operations. The candidate needs to be a highly motivated, intelligent aviation professional willing to support the 24/7 nature of their operation to ensure client satisfaction.

The Director of Trip Support will play a critical role in the organization, responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of flight planning and dispatch operations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of aviation operations to ensure seamless service delivery to our clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a passion for driving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the daily operations of the trip support department, ensuring smooth execution of all flight-related activities.
  • Supervise a team of trip support and operational staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to optimize team performance.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Manage budgetary responsibilities, including cost control measures and resource allocation to optimize operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in aviation operations, implementing relevant improvements and innovations.
  • Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of client trips, including:
    • Ground Handling and logistical support
    • International flight plans
    • Understanding of overflight and landing permits
    • Weather and NOTAMs
    • Hotel Accommodations
    • Ground Transportation
    • Flight Following
Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in Aviation Operations, with specific experience in flight planning, trip support, or dispatch services.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in providing excellent customer
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Familiarity with Part 135 and/or Part 91 regulations.
  • Ability to multi-task accurately and efficiently dealing with dynamic
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
