Our client is currently seeking a Director of Trip Support to assist their trip support team with all day-to-day operations. The candidate needs to be a highly motivated, intelligent aviation professional willing to support the 24/7 nature of their operation to ensure client satisfaction.
The Director of Trip Support will play a critical role in the organization, responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of flight planning and dispatch operations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of aviation operations to ensure seamless service delivery to our clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a passion for driving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the daily operations of the trip support department, ensuring smooth execution of all flight-related activities.
- Supervise a team of trip support and operational staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to optimize team performance.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Manage budgetary responsibilities, including cost control measures and resource allocation to optimize operational effectiveness.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in aviation operations, implementing relevant improvements and innovations.
- Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of client trips, including:
- Ground Handling and logistical support
- International flight plans
- Understanding of overflight and landing permits
- Weather and NOTAMs
- Hotel Accommodations
- Ground Transportation
- Flight Following
