Instrument Technician

Job Description:

Performs the maintenance and functional testing of instruments per OEM manual specifications and drawings ensuring a defect free component. (Attitude Indicators, Direction Gyros, Airspeed Indicators, Altimeters, etc...)
Assists in ensuring quality and efficiency of all work performed. Troubleshoots processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs.
Performs and complies with engineering changes and modifications as required.
Assists in set up and operation of necessary test equipment; conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.

Job Requirements:

Two (2) years related work experience or two (2) years of accredited schooling in electronics preferred but not required.
Previous experience working with a FAA Part 145 Instrument Repair Facility.
Demonstrates basic mechanical and electromechanical experience.
Ability to pay attention to detail and follow strict maintenance guidelines.
Ability to read basic electronic schematics.
