About This Role
This position is exclusively open to students pursuing a university degree and have to be part of a COOP.
Internship dates: May 5 2025 to May 8 2026
(Full time during summer , for the remaining of the internship the hours will be adjusted to align with your school schedule)
The successful candidate will also receive the $6,000 CILA Award, which promotes female-identified students in STEM programs to encourage diversity and develop future industry leaders.
In 2025, the CILA internship program will reward up to ten women enrolled in STEM programs at universities and colleges across Canada with a fully paid internship and executive mentoring. In addition, winners will receive a one-time $6,000* (after-tax) scholarship and the opportunity to secure full-time employment upon successful completion of their program. During the paid internship, each laureate will participate in cross-company learning activities and exciting project challenges to meet their academic requirements and develop their skills as the next generation of STEM talent. The role we are offering you:
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of developing leading edge training devices for pilots and aircrew for both civil aviation and defence and security, contributing to the safety of aviation worldwide.
Avionics systems u2013 systems used for flight management and processing of information displayed to pilots (navigation, automatic pilot, flight and system parameters, flight plan, and fault management)
Onboard systems u2013 Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, environmental control of the passenger cabin, communication and alert systems
Performance systems u2013 Aerodynamics, engines, flight controls, simulator motion control, sound simulation
Are you ready to:
Investigate and resolve all the deficiencies identified during the validation phase.
Review and analyse technical documentation from aircraft manufacturers.
Integration of the simulated models, along with real aircraft components into a training device
Configurations of interfaces between the simulation environment and the hardware components.
Write test procedures to validate the functionality of the systems
Develop simulation models for systems, following the Agile methodology.
Our ideal candidate has:
Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages is essential.
Knowledge of other object-oriented languages is an asset.
Good interpersonal skills and team player
Leadership qualities
Organization and time management skills
Bilingual (French, English) is essential
Preferred Education
Pursuing a bacheloru2019s degree in engineering, preferably electrical, mechanical, aeronautical, software or computer-related
Location of the internship is CAE Montreal.
Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode.
*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.
*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
