Job DescriptionGENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
An unmanned vehicle installer is tasked with transforming conventional ground vehicles into unmanned systems by installing and testing electronic and mechanical components. They perform various duties, including electronic assembly, where they position and align parts, mount components on panels or circuit boards, route electrical cables, connect mechanical linkages, and mount electronic enclosures. The process of converting vehicles to unmanned operation involves installing control system hardware and reading and interpreting schematic drawings and specifications.
Shift and Pay
21-24/hr based on experience
7:00 am - 5:00 pm M-F
9/80 schedule (off every other Friday)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.
- Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.
- Ability to adhere to workplace rules.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems as they pertain to the automotive industry desired.
- Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics and electrical systems desired.
- Working knowledge of a multi-meter desired.
- Ability to read and write effectively in English.
- Experience with technical writing desired.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Intermediate level of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- 1-2 years’ experience with automotive, aircraft mechanical, electrical repair, or system installation.
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of hand and power tools.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
