Position Summary
STS Aviation Services is hiring experienced AOG Avionics Technicians / Field Representatives to support on-demand aircraft maintenance events in Melbourne, Florida and remote locations worldwide. This role is focused on troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and testing aircraft avionics systems on Boeing and Airbus aircraft in high-pressure AOG environments.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, test, modify, and repair aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic systems in accordance with approved maintenance data
- Perform operational testing and fault isolation on avionics systems including instruments, navigation, communication, and flight control systems
- Execute all work in compliance with company procedures, FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Accurately record all work performed and assume responsibility for completed tasks through proper documentation and sign-off
- Work from written and verbal instructions while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards
- Provide field support during AOG events, including rapid deployment and on-site troubleshooting
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance leadership to develop effective repair solutions
- Maintain professionalism while representing STS Aviation Services in customer-facing environments
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of heavy avionics troubleshooting experience on Boeing and Airbus aircraft
- Proven AOG field service experience
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required
- Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations, FARs, ADs, Service Bulletins, and maintenance documentation
- Ability to efficiently use avionics tools, test equipment, gauges, and instruments
- Own minimum required hand tools (calibrated tooling will be provided by STS)
- Valid United States passport
- United States citizenship required

- Perform work in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and company policies
- Travel on short notice to support AOG events, including remote and challenging environments
- Work extended hours and variable shifts based on operational demand
