What you can expect as a Core Administrator at West Star:
This position provides assistance to the Parts Department and requires knowledge of core and warranty processes, purchasing, accounting and inventory control. Duties include, but are not limited to, entering core and warranty claims online and in paper form, purchase orders, search OEMs and independent parts sources for certified and traceable product at the best price. Job duties will vary from day to day. Direction of duties will be assigned daily. Must be able to work closely with others in a team atmosphere. Will be in daily contact with customers and vendors directly and also via phone, fax and e-mail.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
- Process core and warranty claims with service, parts and accounting departments.
- Process warranty claims within a week of receipt of offset invoice to vendor.
- Communicate extensively with all vendors and customers on core and warranty situations.
- Research, issue credit and debit customer or vendor offset accounts.
- Process over and above bill back charges from vendors back to customers.
- Code and route credits, invoices and bill back invoices with correct GL code to
- Assess stock fees per vendor guidelines and issue fee to work order or customer.
- Maintain all records of core and warranty transactions.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English

What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory. Degree in inventory management or accounting helpful but not required
Your Experience :
Must be customer service-oriented.
Must have knowledge of accounting processes.
Must have good working knowledge of computers.
Able to work with numbers and calculations.
Your Initiative:
We’re looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common. Must be well organized, have a high attention to detail, strong written/verbal/analytical and interpersonal skills and the capability to work with minimal supervision.

Follow West Star repair station manual guidelines to assure traceable and certified products are bought and sold.
Assist in parts inventory management.
Able to initiate purchase order procedures.
Required to follow all processes and procedures in a timely manner.
Calculate freight charges to inside and outside customers.
Responsible for handling fragile, expensive aircraft components.
Assist in receiving and shipping of all materials.
