Hours: 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday in line with site core hours
Monday–Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
Friday: 07:30 – 12:00
Night shift working may also be required
Rate
18.21 PAYE / 24.33 Umbrella per hour
Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for a Rebuild Planner to support aircraft maintenance operations within a highly regulated Military Part 145 environment at RAF Coningsby.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the control, accountability, and movement of aircraft assets and spares throughout the maintenance and rebuild process — from goods inward through to delivery against operational schedules. This role is key to supporting aircraft availability through efficient planning, inventory coordination, and accurate logistics control.
Operating within a fast-paced and safety-critical aviation environment, this role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage the movement and accountability of aircraft spares and assets
Register all assets received and dispatched through the logistics regulator process
Maintain physical control of aircraft spares and associated equipment
Update and maintain logistics databases, IMS systems, and electronic/manual records
Process serviceable and unserviceable equipment in accordance with current procedures
Carry out MJDI inventory transfers and Maintenix transactions in line with business processes
Ensure accurate and timely data input across all logistics systems
Identify and escalate potential work stoppages or supply issues promptly
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support aircraft maintenance schedules
Ensure compliance with Military Part 145 legislation and logistics procedures
Support regulators and VSU operations in accordance with current regulations
Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
Essential Skills & Experience
Competent use of the RAF Logistics MJDI system (essential)
Knowledge of IMS and supply chain IT systems
Understanding of Military Part 145 / Part M regulations
Strong understanding of logistics operational processes and aircraft support requirements
Good knowledge of inventory control and supply chain activities within aviation environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels
IT literate and numerate with strong attention to detail
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to prioritise workload in a busy operational environment
Awareness of RAF supply chain processes and Typhoon support operations advantageous
Key Accountabilities
Ensure compliance with current aviation and logistics legislation
Maintain accurate accountability and movement of aircraft assets and spares
Support aircraft availability through efficient planning and inventory control
Ensure all daily logistics activities are completed promptly and accurately
Report operational risks, shortages, and work stoppages to management
Support delivery of business requirements in line with quality and schedule expectations
