Electric Power Systems within the Power and Controls business unit is looking for a motivated and organized Contract Administrator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to become a key player in managing and administering contracts across a variety of customers. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that contractual obligations are met, compliance standards are upheld, and risks are mitigated. While we are open to candidates from various locations, the ideal candidate will be local to Rockford, IL or the surrounding areas. This is to ensure close proximity for potential on-site work and collaboration with the team. Travel to the Rockford site would be required if a candidate is not a commutable distance.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain and organize Contracts Audit Artifacts.
  • Manage all aspects of contract administration such as coordinating review of customer requirements, proposal generation and negotiation, contract review and acceptance, contract requirements flowdown within the organization, change management, and contract closeout.
  • Draft, interpret and manage contract documents and review and negotiate terms and conditions of customer agreements.
  • Support the Integrated Program Team (IPT) in management of the program and ensure contractual delivery requirements (related to data, software, hardware, etc.) are met.
  • Manage financial and operational impacts to the Business Unit, including accounts receivable management.
  • Manage customer interface and correspondence and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support change management and risk and opportunity management by assessing, proposing, and negotiating the impact of potential changes to contractual scope, cost, schedule, or technical performance.
  • Support record retention, organize evidence of adherence to policies, procedures, and work instructions, and support audits.

What You Will Learn

  • Develop expertise in contract administration, including coordinating the review of customer requirements, generating proposals, managing contract review and acceptance, and ensuring smooth contract closeouts.
  • Gain experience supporting the Integrated Program Team (IPT) in managing complex programs, ensuring contractual delivery requirements for data, software, hardware, and more are met.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience 
  • U.S. (non-dual) citizenship is required, as only U.S. (non-dual) citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
