Signature Aviation is seeking a Procurement Analyst to help build and execute an effective and efficient, data-driven sourcing process focusing on reducing the Total Cost of Ownership in each category.
Signatures procurement function is focused on indirect spending such as Facilities and maintenance, IT, travel, uniforms, HR-related and other professional services, contract labor, etc., and assisting with capital-equipment purchases and aviation fuels.
The successful candidate will be passionate about driving insights from data and applying these insights in very practical ways. The candidate will have excellent analytical skills and command of todays suite of analytics tools, the ability to plan, advanced written and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to meet project deadlines. This ideal entry point into Signature Aviation will allow the Analyst to understand Signatures business from the ground up.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute analytics consolidating spend from various departments and forms of payment to understand the full size and scope of each category
- Build detailed spend databases for a variety of spend categories and create RFx documents from them
- Review and analyze bids, working with current and potential vendors to compare goods and services offered on an apples-to-apples basis. Summarize bids for senior-management review.
- Assist with analytics during live negotiations
- Assist the category manager with procurement initiatives such as moving spend to Coupa.
- Track procurement-organization key performance indicators
Supervisor and Financial Responsibilities:
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year College or University. Degree in procurement/supply chain discipline preferred. Management consulting experience is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience with corporate-procurement processes, either in a corporate or consulting-firm setting, is a plus
Additional knowledge and skills:
- Strong understanding of and competency in spending analytics
- Ability to quickly calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume in your head
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Power BI) and expert capabilities in Excel
