The Airport Operations department keeps operations at our airports running smoothly through planning, organization, and supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to the traveling public by performing various customer service duties in the airport terminal
  • Prepares tickets, determines fares and routing to ensure passengers travel needs are met
  • Responsible for daily cash and credit card sales
  • Handle reservations and Mileage Plus inquiries
  • Receive and direct incoming calls, greet and direct customers, tag and handle bags
  • Required to staff ticket counter, boarding gates, and baggage claim area
  • Security Screen baggage and passengers
  • Assist with cabin inspections and cleaning, lavatory services
  • Perform other duties as directed by station management to provide customer service support

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Unless subject to a collective bargaining agreement in the country to which an employee is being transferred; the employee retains their original date of employment and company seniority in the new country. Upon transfer, the employee is removed from payroll and benefits in former country and appropriately placed in the salary range and payroll / benefits systems of the new country. Human Resources will assist with the terms and conditions of employment in light of labor agreements, collective agreements, country work rules and labor laws. In the new country, the employee is reinstated using the same employee id, date of employment and company seniority dates.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (minimum requirements)

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must be able to type at least 20 wpm
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be flexible to work any shift assigned within a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week operation including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions (e.g. rain, heat, humidity, etc.) and in open baggage areas for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work where there will be exposure to high noise levels
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, safety-sensitive, deadline driven environment
  • Willing and able to travel to the U.S. for training
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain credentials necessary for the position
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the Federated States of Micronesia for any employer without sponsorship
  • Reliable, punctual attendance
