Position Overview
The AOG Planner is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and supporting all Aircraft on Ground (AOG) maintenance events to ensure timely return-to-service for FlyExclusive’s fleet. This role acts as the central communication point between Maintenance Control, AOG Technicians, Parts, Engineering, and Flight Operations. The AOG Planner ensures all logistical, technical, and resource requirements are arranged quickly and accurately during high-priority maintenance situations.
Key Responsibilities
AOG Event Coordination
Monitor incoming AOG notifications and initiate immediate planning actions.
Prioritize AOG events based on operation needs and aircraft impact.
Coordinate manpower, tooling, equipment, and materials for rapid dispatch or onsite repair.
Ensure maintenance teams have accurate information, task cards, and technical references.
Scheduling & Resource Planning
Assign AOG technicians based on skillset, availability, and geographical location.
Schedule travel, lodging, and transportation for AOG personnel as required.
Track expected timelines, maintenance progression, and return-to-service targets.
Maintain real-time visibility of fleet status and technician deployment.
Technical & Documentation Support
Review maintenance requests, MELs, and technical documents for planning accuracy.
Ensure required parts are available and coordinate priority shipments when needed.
Support proper documentation, logbook entries, and corrective action tracking.
Prepare daily AOG reports for leadership and operations.
Communication & Collaboration
Serve as the primary point of communication during all AOG events.
Provide continuous updates to Maintenance Control, Flight Ops, Crew Scheduling, and leadership.
Notify stakeholders of potential delays, risks, and resource constraints.
Compliance
Ensure all maintenance actions follow FAA, OEM, and FlyExclusive procedures.
Support audits, recordkeeping, and compliance checks as required.
Qualifications
3–5 years of aviation maintenance planning, AOG coordination, or maintenance control experience.
Strong understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and FAA regulations.
Experience working in Part 135 or Part 145 environments preferred.
Exceptional communication, multitasking, and time-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and respond rapidly to operational needs.
Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems and ERP/CMMS tools.
Preferred Aircraft Experience

Work Environment
High-urgency, fast-paced operational setting.
Must be available for shift work, nights, weekends, and on-call rotations as required.
Ability to multitask during simultaneous AOG events and changing schedules.
