Specialist/Sr Specialist, Accounts Payable

• This job is a member of the Accounts Payable Team within the Finance Division.

• Performs uploads of payable items into SAP
• Performs identification and validation of vendor to be paid
• Performs audit of approvals to ensure compliance with Resource Approval Policy
• Performs scanning and indexing of invoices and AP documents for visibility to broad user group
• Responds to e-mails in group e-mail box
• Performs a variety of other functions/ad-hoc projects as assigned to achieve the department/companys goals and business objectives
• Reconciliation of vendor accounts
• Representative of American Airlines who works closely with vendors and internal business units to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Add "high volume" of emails in group e-mail box

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• ​High School diploma or GED Equivalency

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Prior accounts payable experience
• Prior customer service experience
• Prior SAP experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• ​Ability to provide great customer service and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
