Job Description:
- Accounting Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and manage the accounting team, setting goals, monitoring performance, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Develop and implement accounting strategies to support the company’s financial and operational goals.
- Provide leadership in establishing efficient accounting processes and controls across all business units.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and cost efficiency.
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and China GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of internal and external financial reports, including balance sheets, P&L statements, cash flow statements, and other reports required by regulatory authorities.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported and fully reconciled
- Regulatory Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements in mainland China and HK.
- Coordinate and lead external and internal audits, ensuring effective communication between auditors and the accounting team.
- Team Development:
- Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and promote skill development within the team.
- Ensure a strong focus on teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication both within the accounting department and across other functions.
- Technology & Systems:
- Oversee the maintenance of P11 master data.
- Leverage automation and other technological solutions to improve accounting efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the accounting systems and recommend enhancements to support evolving business needs.
